I purchased these along with the matching separates for my 2009 Honda Civic LX. They were very good above 120Hz, but worthless below 100Hz. A subwoofer is a must and matching it acoustically was a nightmare - music never sounded like it should. Either the sub was too bright, or the tweeter output needed to be modulated. I only wish these speakers had been able to produce decent mid-bass. I will be looking at the BA SR65 to replace the Alpine.

Originally, I added these alpine speakers to four other stock speakers and a stock subwoofer. They sounded pretty good. Then I added an amplifier, equalizer, and better subwoofer - still, they sounded good, really clear. But it wasn't until I unplugged the dash tweeters and removed the rear stock speakers (replacing them with these alpine speakers) that their quality appeared. The sound is soo much better; crisp clear high and mid ranges and a powerful bass. Next? Replace the front stock speakers with another set of alpine speakers, maybe another pair of SPR-17C's.

I was replacing the stock speakers on my 2002 Silverado. I first purchased the Rockford Fosgate Power series and they didn't sound any better than my stock speakers. If anything they had less bass. I then got these Alpines and they sound GREAT!! I am not running them with an amp but I can imagine they would sound even better. Great buy especially for the price.

Speakers came in original packaging and within delivery date. Were in perfect condition and included everything that you would get if you purchased them straight from Alpine. Overall, awesome speakers for half the price you would pay at local shops.

Great Speakers... They Handle the Power from my Amp very well even though I have to keep the amp backed way down.
